Chui Mejía rechazó los cuestionamientos vertidos días atrás por el presidente de la República, Alan García, respecto a una supuesta incapacidad de las regiones para invertir el presupuesto asignado por el Ejecutivo.La demora y fragmentación en la asignación de recursos a las regiones obstaculiza la ejecución de las obras que la población demanda, sostuvo el presidente regional de Lima Provincias, Nelson Chui.
Chui citó que, en el caso específico de su región, el presupuesto correspondiente al 2008 le fue entregado hasta en tres partes. “Recibimos un presupuesto de apertura de 31 millones de soles; en mayo nos dieron 42 millones más; entre junio, julio y agosto nos dieron 30 millones (...) osea, ascendería a 100 millones de soles el presupuesto total, pero sólo iniciamos con 31 millones. Entonces eso no se puede contabilizar porque con los trámites burocráticos pasa al otro año”, puntualizó.
