El alcalde provincial, Javier Alvarado, confirmó la renuncia de la gerente de la Empresa Municipal de Agua Potable EMAPA CAÑETE. Según el burgomaestre la salida de María del Carmen Quevedo se debería a problemas de salud aún cuando se trató de filtrar entre la prensa que se debería a mejores propuestas económicas. ¿O será que la renunciaron?Como informáramos la Quevedo presentaba un envidiable currículo pero al parecer la faltó muñeca para manejar una empresa que más que títulos lo que necesita es maña para sortear las presiones políticas de los accionistas.
Resulta curioso que precediera a la renuncia de la gerente la salida de un recientemente seleccionado relacionista público que apenas duró una semana y el cual se quejó que no se le otorgaron las facilidades para cumplir su función y dejó entrever que quien domina en la empresa cañetana es el presidente del directorio, Rafael Espinoza de Tomás.
